Anthropic has partnered with Menlo Ventures to create the Anthology Fund, a $100 million initiative aimed at accelerating the development of innovative AI applications using Anthropic's technology.
The fund, financed by Menlo Ventures, will focus on backing entrepreneurs in five key areas:
1. AI infrastructure
2. Novel AI applications in industries like healthcare, education, and scientific research
3. Consumer AI solutions
4. Trust and safety tooling
5. AI apps and technology that maximise societal benefits
Startups selected for backing by the Anthology Fund will receive several benefits, including:
- Access to Anthropic products and research
- $25,000 in free credits towards Anthropic's most advanced models
- Venture support from Menlo Ventures
Daniela Amodei, co-founder and President of Anthropic, emphasised the fund's goal of enhancing human capabilities and productivity in various fields. Matt Murphy, Partner at Menlo Ventures, highlighted the unique positioning of the partnership to identify and support promising AI entrepreneurs.
