Anthropic has unveiled new tools in its Developer Console, aimed at improving the quality and efficiency of prompt engineering for AI applications. These features, powered by Claude 3.5 Sonnet, offer developers a more streamlined approach to creating and refining prompts.

The new toolset includes a Prompt Generator that allows developers to describe a task and receive a high-quality prompt generated by Claude. It also features Test Case Generation, which automatically generates input variables for prompts, enabling developers to see Claude's responses.

An Evaluate Feature has been introduced, allowing developers to test prompts against various real-world inputs directly in the Console. The Side-by-Side Comparison tool enables developers to compare outputs from different prompt versions, facilitating rapid iteration and improvement.

To ensure quality, the new features include a Quality Grading system where subject matter experts can grade response quality on a 5-point scale, helping to assess improvements over time.

These tools are designed to help developers iterate more quickly on their prompts and improve the overall quality of AI-generated responses. The new features are available to all users on the Anthropic Console.
