Anthropic, the company behind the AI assistant Claude, has announced a significant upgrade to its offerings with the introduction of the Claude Enterprise plan. This new tier is aimed at enabling businesses to leverage AI more effectively while maintaining robust security and control over their data.

The Claude Enterprise plan introduces several key features to enhance collaboration and productivity. Most notably, it offers an expanded 500,000 token context window, allowing Claude to process and analyse much larger amounts of information - equivalent to hundreds of sales transcripts or dozens of 100+ page documents. This expansion enables Claude to provide deeper, more function-specific guidance across a wider range of tasks.

A standout feature of the Enterprise plan is the native GitHub integration, currently in beta. This allows engineering teams to sync entire GitHub repositories with Claude, facilitating seamless collaboration on codebases for tasks such as feature development, debugging, and onboarding new engineers.

Anthropic has prioritised enterprise-grade security and administrative controls in this new offering. The plan includes single sign-on (SSO) and domain capture for secure access management, role-based access with fine-grained permissions, and audit logs for security and compliance monitoring. The company has also announced plans to introduce System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) in the coming weeks to automate user provisioning and access controls.

Anthropic emphasises that user data privacy remains a top priority. The company assures that Claude is not trained on conversations or content from Enterprise plan users, maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive business information.

The launch of the Claude Enterprise plan marks a significant step in Anthropic's efforts to make AI collaboration more accessible and secure for businesses. By combining expanded capabilities with robust security features, Anthropic aims to position Claude as a vital tool for enhancing productivity and innovation across various industries.
