Bell Canada and Mila have formed a three-year partnership, to develop cutting-edge AI solutions for the telecommunications sector, focusing on enhancing customer experience and optimising business operations.

Bell Canada, the country's largest communications company, and Mila, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at driving AI innovation in the telecommunications industry. This collaboration builds on an existing 18-month project and aligns with Bell's significant investments in AI technology.

The partnership will leverage Mila's research to drive transformative improvements across Bell's operations, including data analysis, operational efficiency, and internet-based applications. By applying deep learning neural network algorithms to Bell's environment, the collaboration aims to enhance customer experience and optimise business processes.

Stéphane Létourneau, Executive Vice President of Mila, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Bell into their partnership community and exploring AI solutions that can benefit organisations across Canada and their customers.

Michel Richer, SVP of Enterprise Solutions, Data Engineering & AI at Bell Canada, emphasised that this partnership will strengthen Bell's position as an AI leader and further its status as a technology services leader.

The collaboration is expected to contribute to the development of Montreal as a key centre for innovation, building on Bell's recent acquisition of FX Innovation and the company's in-house technology development team.
