Google Arts & Culture has introduced three innovative AI-driven features designed to enhance personal engagement with art and culture, as announced by Amit Sood, Director of Google Arts & Culture.

The first feature, Art Transfer 2, builds upon the success of Art Selfie 2, expanding the AI-powered transformation capabilities beyond selfies to include any photo in a user's camera roll. Sood explains, "Art Transfer 2 is an invitation to explore your artistic side while gaining a deeper understanding of art history — all through your own photos."

Users can now upload any photo and choose from iconic art-inspired styles to reimagine their images. The AI not only transforms the photo but also provides insights into how the new creation reflects the chosen artistic style, offering information on brushwork, color palettes, and composition.

"Google's advanced AI models will analyse your newly created masterpiece and provide insights into how it reflects your chosen style," Sood states, highlighting the educational aspect of the feature.

The second feature, Culture Weekly, offers personalised cultural content based on user interests. Subscribers select from diverse cultural topics, including visual arts, fashion, history, music, and food. Sood describes it as "your personal guide to the world's cultural treasures, delivered in an easily digestible format."

Lastly, Art Zoom Out uses generative AI to expand the viewing experience of iconic paintings. This feature allows users to envision what might lie beyond the frame of well-known artworks, adding a new dimension to art appreciation.

These features are available in the Google Arts & Culture app for Android and iOS, with Art Zoom Out also accessible on the website. Sood concludes, "We hope these new features inspire you to explore the world of art and culture in new ways."
