Forbes magazine has ranked NVIDIA No. 1 on its new America's Best Companies list, evaluating companies across more than 60 measures in nearly a dozen categories.
Forbes noted that NVIDIA thrived in numerous areas, "particularly employee satisfaction, earning high ratings in career opportunities, company benefits and culture," as well as financial strength. The evaluation process considered approximately 2,000 of the largest public companies in the U.S., with 300 making the final list.
The company has implemented Free Days — two days each quarter where the entire company closes. "It allows us to take a break as a company," Davidson told Forbes. NVIDIA also provides counsellors onsite and offers a careers week that provides programmes and training for workers to pursue internal job opportunities.
According to People Data Labs, Forbes' data provider on workforce stability, NVIDIA maintains a low rate of employee turnover, which is widely viewed as a sign of employee happiness.
