ChatGPT users will soon have access to a wealth of specialised content through a new strategic partnership between OpenAI and Future, the global specialist media platform. The collaboration, announced on December 4, will integrate content from Future's portfolio of over 200 media brands into ChatGPT's knowledge base.
Future, a FTSE 250-listed company based in the United Kingdom, brings to the table an extensive array of trusted content spanning multiple platforms and formats. The partnership will incorporate material from prominent brands including Marie Claire, PC Gamer, TechRadar, Tom's Guide, The Week, Who What Wear, and Cycling Weekly.
This collaboration builds upon Future's existing relationship with OpenAI's technology. The media company has already developed AI-powered chatbots for brands such as Tom's Hardware and Who What Wear, while also implementing OpenAI's tools across its sales, marketing, and editorial operations to enhance productivity.
Future CEO Jon Steinberg emphasised the strategic importance of the partnership, stating, "Our partnership with OpenAI helps us achieve this goal by expanding the range of platforms where our content is distributed. ChatGPT provides a whole new avenue for people to discover our incredible specialist content."
Brad Lightcap, COO of OpenAI, highlighted the partnership's value to ChatGPT users: "This partnership enables us to enhance the ChatGPT experience by providing more access to engaging, up to date and reliable information from a range of specialist sources."
The move represents another step in OpenAI's efforts to expand ChatGPT's knowledge base with authoritative content while providing traditional publishers with new channels to reach audiences in the AI era.
