Salesforce and NVIDIA have announced a strategic collaboration, aimed at developing advanced AI capabilities for enterprises, focusing on autonomous agent and interactive avatar experiences.
In a move that could significantly impact the future of enterprise software, Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) and NVIDIA have joined forces to develop new AI capabilities. The partnership will combine NVIDIA's AI platform with Salesforce's Platform and Agentforce to deliver optimised predictive and generative AI workflows.
The collaboration aims to enhance the capabilities of Salesforce's Agentforce agents, which the company aims to deploy in the billions in the coming years.
Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, emphasised the significance of this partnership, stating, "Together with NVIDIA, we're leading the third wave of the AI revolution — moving beyond copilots to humans and intelligent agents working seamlessly to drive customer success."
NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang added, "NVIDIA and Salesforce are bringing together our technologies to accelerate the development of AI agents for companies to supercharge their productivity."
The collaboration will provide Salesforce customers with access to next-generation AI and data capabilities as part of the Salesforce Platform and Agentforce. By leveraging Salesforce's AI-powered technologies with NVIDIA's NIM microservices, and NeMo for model customisation, businesses are expected to see advancements in AI platform performance and model throughput.
Several potential use cases have been highlighted, including crisis management, with efficient handling of high volumes of customer inquiries during product recalls, or service outages. Another application involves real-time weather impact analysis for travel and logistics, allowing AI agents to predict and adjust routes based on live data. The partnership also aims to enhance real-time customer support resolution using AI agents to provide instant solutions during live avatar chats.
The collaboration will also enhance AI capabilities by accelerating processing in Salesforce Data Cloud, which unifies and harmonises structured and unstructured customer data in real time. This is expected to lead to quicker insights and improved performance across AI platforms.
Additionally, Salesforce and NVIDIA will collaborate on developing AI-powered avatars using NVIDIA ACE and Agentforce. These avatars aim to deliver more engaging, human-like experiences in customer and employee interactions. Potential applications include real-time sales coaching feedback, where an AI agent analyses conversations and suggests in-the-moment improvements. The technology could also be used for live event management, with AI avatar kiosks managing real-time ticketing and customer preferences. Another proposed application is personalised employee training assistance, offering on-demand, tailored training through avatar assistants.
