Salesforce and Workday announced a strategic partnership on July 24, to develop an AI-powered employee service agent, aiming for workplace efficiency and  increased employee experience.

The collaboration will combine Salesforce's Agentforce Platform and Einstein AI,with Workday's platform and AI capabilities, to create intelligent agents for various employee service tasks. This integration promises to streamline processes such as onboarding, benefits management, and career development.

Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, emphasised the partnership's potential: "The AI opportunity for every company lies in augmenting their employees and delivering incredible customer experiences. Together we'll help businesses create amazing experiences powered by generative and autonomous AI."

The new AI agent will leverage a unified data foundation, merging Salesforce's CRM data with Workday's financial and HR information. This integration allows for natural language communication and human-like comprehension, facilitating easier task completion for employees.
