Salesforce has introduced the Agentforce Partner Network, a global ecosystem of partners building third-party AI agents and agent actions for its Agentforce platform, aiming to create a vast network of interconnected AI capabilities.

Salesforce has unveiled its ambitious Agentforce Partner Network, the initiative aims to create the world's first comprehensive AI agent ecosystem, enabling businesses to deploy and customise AI agents that can work across multiple systems and applications.

Brian Millham, President and Chief Operating Officer at Salesforce, highlighted the significance of this launch, stating, "Agentforce represents a monumental shift in the industry, enabling humans with AI to redefine how businesses achieve customer success. Over the next year, our bold vision is to enable customers with a billion AI agents."

The Agentforce Partner Network addresses a crucial challenge in enterprise AI adoption: the need for AI agents to work seamlessly across the multitude of applications and systems used by modern businesses. With the average enterprise managing nearly 1,000 different applications, the ability of AI agents to navigate across multiple systems and databases is essential for effective task automation.

Salesforce's new ecosystem brings together a wide range of partners, including industry giants like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, IBM, and Workday. These partners are developing new agent actions, pre-built agent templates, and partner agents that can plan and take action across multiple systems on behalf of users and businesses.

The partner network is structured around two main offerings. First, partner-built agent actions and topics, which include specialised actions for content creation and management, sales and customer insights, and industry-specific automation. For instance, Google Workspace is offering actions to create and share Google Docs and Slides based on CRM data, while Zoom is providing access to analytics and key insights from calls and meetings.

Second, partner-built agents and agent templates, which are pre-built agents and templates for specific industry, line of business, or functional use cases. For example, IBM is developing agents for highly regulated industries that can handle complex tasks without moving data across systems, and Workday is creating agents to streamline employee services.

The launch also emphasises the role of global system integrators in bringing Agentforce to life for customers. Companies like Accenture, Deloitte Digital, Capgemini, IBM Consulting, PwC, and Slalom will support enterprises in defining, building, and deploying AI agents and actions using Agentforce.
